Field Observations

8 hours of observations throughout the semester - divided among 3 groups: grades K-2, 3-4, 5-6

For each observation fill out an Observation Transcript form and for each group the indicated set of questions in the table below.

OPUS 23 Scheduled for Monday, December 5, 2011

Instrumentation is brass (trumpet I, trumpet II, French horn, trombone, tuba), percussion (two players), piano and voice (one each SATB). Students may write for any combination from the available instruments listen above.

Due Dates:
First posting is Wednesday, October 5th
Final posting is Wednesday, November 11th
Selections announced Monday, November 14th
Score preparation must be completed by Friday, November 18th
Opus event begins at noon on Monday, December 5th with rehearsals and workshops for all participants and any guests. Dinner at 5:15 and concert at 6:30 pm. No admission charge.
Location: Elley-Long Music Center at St. Michael's College in Colchester, VT.
